Wow – Amy! She can really croon.
And, Neil … you make me feel good about my singing voice … but not my lack of bravery or chutzpah, my friend.
Well done all and to all a good holiday season.
Bravo, Neil! Excellent compilation. Thanks for taking the time to put it all together, and thanks to your readers for contributing their efforts.
great concert & pretty photos!!
thanks for including me neil, even though i didn’t get to record a holiday song. seriously, i sound like a dying frog!
maybe next year i’ll prepare early & record it during passover so that i don’t get stuck in a lurch like this time.
(note to others: yes, neil & i know that “his eye is on the sparrow” is not a holiday song, but he was kind enough to still include me even though i lost my voice.)
This was fun. Lots of lovely photos. Neil, you’re lucky to be such a talented writer. Your singing was quite…interesting. I was listening with my kids. When the song was at the end, they all three said, “What did they just say?” I pretended I couldn’t understand. I told them you were messing up the lyrics on purpose because you’re so funny.
AWESOME.
“No, I’m not Kosher, we can eat wherever you want before we sleep together!”
I love it.
What kind of slacker doesn’t even bother to do video for his holiday song on Neil’s concert post? Oh, yeah, me. I’m so lame. 🙂
Loralee’s Whoo Song is the perfect pairing with my Grinch, by the way. Of course Tanis had to stick her big Canadian face between us. Typical. Such an attention hog, that one. 😛
Finally, I can’t pass up the opportunity to shamelessly plug the Christmas music app I sang on and helped make: iCaroler! Get thee to the app store and get some interactive mobile Christmas cheer for your iPhone! http://bit.ly/iCaroler
Love it! Put me right into the holiday spirit.
I’m new here. This is EXCELLENT!!!
I love your Christmahanukwanzaakah Holiday concerts, dear Neil, but you have to put how long it takes to attend, because I want to listen to each number and not be interrupted!
Holy God am I glad I didn’t try to sing. That’s a whole lot of beautiful belting. I’m not sure if Tanis was on pitch but I was so distracted by her boobs I couldn’t help but enjoy myself.
Aw, now I wish I’d sent you my eardrum shriveling version of Santa Baby.
Awesomeness.
Thank you for compiling these. Angela from Fluid Pudding and alejna from collecting tokens are the Christmas cat’s pajamas…love them.
Neil – Thanks again for hosting such an amazing group of people who know how to celebrate together!! I can’t believe it’s been 4 years already! So happy I have been able to be part of it again.
I’m with MommaMae about wanting to be better prepared for the 5th annual. Hoping I can record some things in the next couple of weeks that I’ll “put in the vault” for you!
Blessings and peace,
NFH
Jenny gets funnier every single day.
Loved this! Thanks for letting me be a part of it.
This did it. I’m officially IN for Christmas. (As always, thanks for putting this together. You’re a gem.)
Totally awesome post…they are all great, I think I had to stop everynow and then…I am working!
Thanks Neil for putting this together. It is a wonderful post. I hope everyone has a beautiful Christmahanukwanzaakah!! May 2010 bring peace, love and kindness to us all.
This was so much fun to watch. But next year you need a second section for “Kind-Of, Sort-Of, Almost” Carols. My sons and I will lead that effort. Or wait. We will be second. Jess and her son will lead. My sons will idolize. HE KNOWS ALL THE WORDS TO BATMAN SMELLS.
Best tradition EVER, Neil. Happy to be a part of it. Thanks for pulling the whole deal together.
I still can’t believe you get this many people to sing on camera for you. Willingly.
Awesome.
i don’t think i fully thought out the whole video of me in my pajamas thing! But, that was great Neil. Thanks!
FANTASTIC show one and all!
Really great, I loved every performance. This event reflects the true spirit of Christmas more than anything I can imagine.
P.S. I wish I could sing like Badass Dad.
This is great, thanks again for hosting! I only had time to preview most of the songs. Definitely have to come back later to hear them all!
This post makes me impossibly happy every year. This year the same.
Can’t believe I missed singing this year. But glad a photo made it!
Thanks again for running such a cool gig every year!
You did wonders with our duet. I think it turned out great! Thanks for asking me to sing with you. I’m honored.
xoxo
Great concert, I’m going to pop some popcorn and show my girls tonight. This production is going to save us a pretty penny!
There are some really great singers here! Such talent in the blogisphere.
I am so glad I stumbled upon this site!…. I have sooo been out of the loop!
Great stuff!
That was fantastic.
Such fun! Loved your clever duet. Happy happy, joy, joy.
Oh Neil, this was SO much fun to read/listen/look at WOW….What a great Holiday gift you have given to us!
Peace and love during the season!
Natalie
Oh, this is so sweet! I’m glad I clicked over from Mamikaze’s tweet!
Oh, I love this so much. Really and truly. I wish I did not have my head in my bum so often online. I would have submitted. This is lovely.
Amazing. And SO much work to collaborate.
p.s. I totally thought you would rhyme Menorah and Horah. Nice to be surprised.
That was fantastic, Neil! Thanks for putting it all together, it really was a joy to go through, seeing and hearing so many familiar faces and some of their kids. ZoeyJane’s little girl wrapping it up was adorable. What a sweetie.
Loved your Duet with Sizzle. Hilarious.
Oh, this made me feel all warm and sweet and sentimental. I might have teared up a bit. Such a squishy-hearted grrrl.
Thanks everyone and thanks Neil for pulling this off once again!
I look forward to this EVERY year! Thank you!!!
Bravo! Excellent concert and the photos are wonderful! Thank you for including me.
This is one of my favorite parts of Christmas. Thank you, Neil.
Damn,Neil! First the Great Interview Experiment and now this. The fun never ends here. Thanks so much.
Bravo! I love that you do this every year. I love it!
It only took me hearing Neil croon to make me swoon.
Thanks for doing this Neil. It is a blast.
Thank you for doing this, Neil. It makes my Grinchy heart a little less too small.
frickenfanxmashannukahtastic! Well done everyone! And Neil…the time you spend building a sense of community is the true spirit of the festive season.
Wow! Just wow.
I only discovered your blog a few days ago and it is truely amazing.
Thank you for this special kind of holiday spirit.
You are the bee’s knees, friend and I heart you big time for doing this every year. It’s like, my favorite holiday bloggity tradition and I luff it.
Plus I am totally tickled that The Grinch song was paired so loverly with my Whoo Song.
Tanis’s boobies mushed in between us just added to the awesomeness of it. 🙂
Wow…this got me teary with joy! What a great, great, great compilation of the very many, many bloggers I love on one of the blogs I love! Awesome!! Thank you for this!
I love when you do this. Another excellent edition, Neil.
Can you hear that? It’s me singing the praises of this wonderful post. I know, I’m out of tune, but I mean well.
This was SO cool, Neil, and I wish I wouldn’t have chickened out and played/sung something! Next year, for sure! 🙂 Very, very cool! Happy Holidays to you!
Neil! This was great! I love your duet and all the videos!!! So awesome.
Steph
This is one of the most charming things I have ever seen.
I enjoy seeing and hearing all these bloggers! Wonderful! Next year [what I said last year], I’m gonna do this. I really will. It’s taken me a few times sitting at the computer to enjoy everyone’s submissions, but it’s the perfect mental refreshment during my hectic days. Thank you, everyone! Bravo!
Kudos! What a beautiful event <3
Wow! That was a lot of fun to watch. Awesome. I can’t until next year. Merry Christmas everyone:)
You are one cool Yule dude, Neil! Congratulations on another wonderful Christmahanukwanzaakah extravaganza!
Okay. We’re in over here. Roughly “Jingle Bell Rock.”
